This is a drawing done for a friend of mine of her lab Thor (which I think is an adorable name). I recently discovered bristol board, and I love it! This is my second piece on it (I will post the first momentarily), and I am really enjoying how smooth it makes everything, and how much darker it appears.

Hi
I think you did an adorable drawing of Thor (name of a God in Nordic Mythology and of danish beer-brand ;) )
I think you could do the excellent head a favor by using a bit more strokes on the neck and shoulder, the right side (view) of the neck looks to be too broad if it is not because the dog has his head hanging low ;) :bye1:

Awww, his coat looks so soft, nice job. I have to agree though it would be even better if you gave the neck and shoulder the same soft effect.

The problem with the neck and shoulders was that the owner had her hand underneath his head, so I couldn't see the body. I tried to improvise, and when it didn't work out, tried to cover up my mistakes :blushing:

Oh he's cute. Very soft looking fur achieved as well. I agree some detail added to the neck and shoulder would be nice. Maybe you could find a decent reference to refer to online and wing it. ;) You have a nice drawing as is to be proud of though. :)

I love the pic... labs are my daughter's favorite dog. You did a wonderful job! I love the fur... I can just imagine how long that too... whew! You must be glad it's over... now frame it and onto the next project, right? :-) :o
