What do you think of having a forum for training in things such as photoshop and other image altering/enhancing/computer-related things...it seems we have sooo many really knowledgable people here w/ expertise in these areas that would be helpful to artists such as myself, who have very little computer knowledge.
Just a thought...don't know if it's appropriate for this site or not.... :)

Hi Denise, at this time Gemma and I both feel we'd like to stick with what our original goal for this site was...drawing. We both feel there are lots of good tutorials on the net to help with learning how to use image editing programs.
Ann Kullberg has a monthly column on working with PS. Both PS and PSP have tutorials on their sites. (I haven't looked at the other image altering program sites to see if they do)
And there are some really excellent books and walk through tutorials on CD that can be had. I taught myself what I know about PS from one such book; Teach Yourself Visually Photoshop 7

Totally understand, Arlene...thank you for the book referral, and you're right, Ann has some great stuff on her site. I will check out the other things you referenced as well. :D :D

Hi Denise
Cheapest place to get the book Arlene mentioned is ebay - thats where I got mine and saved a bundle. The visual book is excellent and simple - very easy to understand - you don't need a degree :brevet:
