Hi everyone, i just finished this for part of my daughter's birthday present. She loves this breed of dog but as she lives in multi-story flats she is unable to have a dog at all.
It didn't photograph well but my scanner is broke so this is the best i can do for now.
The reference photograph was supplied by a friend of mine - thanks Caren E.
Comments welcome and thanks for looking.

Everyone must be out enjoying the great weather! This is great Edith. I love little beagle puppies. You captured that young baby awkwardness very well. Did you already give this to your daughter? She's going to just love it!

Thank you Brenda, yes she loves it.
(it's a Bassett hound - long ears)
Oh how sweet! You captured the personality so well. Those sad eyes! Sorry I didn't see this one sooner. I've been out of town, just checking in on a borrowed computer.
How big is your drawing? What kind of paper do you use?
Oh he's so cute! :o I love bassets as puppies especially. Those big paws, hahaha. Nice job.

yep it was a slow wknd here. i just saw this one myself. (my wknd is posted in the cafe)
wonderful job on this...one comment the area under his ear on the left? you've outlined it...would be better to just let the shadows and lights define the shape. same in any of the other areas that do that (under his head for example).

Thank you all very much for your kind comments, i always apreciate them.
I love puppies too and in fact i am thinking of getting another one soon as my lovely Freyah, who is a German Shepheard, is getting on a bit and i think a pup would liven her up and she could help to train it too. What do you think, would you get a pup? i want a one that doesn't shed its hair/fur so i am limited on breed this time.
