I really love your work Tom....did you paint this on location? I think the greens as they go away from the viewer could maybe change in value? They seem a bit bright...but maybe that's what you actually saw.
How long does a piece take you? What is the size of this?

Wow Tom, It's really beautiful! I have so much admiration for you plein air folks! I tried it last week and ended up with a pretty muddy mess. :p
It's always a pleasure to see your work!!!

You always have such great stuff, Tom.
Yeah, what Cindy said. Something was bothering me but couldn't figure out what it was until I read Cindy's post. The two bushes show a distance separation but not the grass.
The grass receeds fine for me.
yes, was this painted plein air Tom? Size?

Hi Toni--this is plein air --about 11x14 inches Tom
Tom, I love it!!! I am such a fan of pastel, but due to allergies in the family, I never really got into it... I love how the light plays off the trees and the overall feel of the painting! Great stuff! :)
11x14 is a good size, one of my favorites lol.
So do you start with a blank sheet when you start out, or do you lay in some sky etc ahead of time?
You sure make me want to get my pastels out again. lol..
keep up the wonderful work Tom!
