Hi, this is my first attempt at a cat. I borrowed the ref from our library here.
I didn't copy the ref exactly, i just wanted it to look like a cat.

very good for a first try. now what i'm going to tell you will help with your next one. all living creatures have features that normally follow geometry. (sometimes they're not perfect...think lyle lovett for example) so the eyes, nose, mouth will all be parallel to one another for example. and the center line will be perpendicular to those other lines.

Here is the photo i grayscaled and your drawing and you can see by the lines i added what i mean.
