Gaka's "Swallows WIP" sold!

Hi there

My Art agent in Singapore has changed Art Gallery's and she requested some of my paintings for a client and I sent the "Swallows" as well as a small watercolor "Macaw" and a Pastel "Kangaroo"....I have been informed that the pastel "Swallows" and the watercolor "Macaw" has been sold and the "kangaroo" is under negotiation. The Swallows was sold for over $2,000Sg (Singapore Dollars).

I have not posted the Kangaroo on ST yet and I will do so in the next week or so. I have painted very little over the past year (The Swallows were actualy painted more than a year ago). I had lost interest in painting as it is difficult to sell my work and I felt that I was getting no rewards for my hard work other than the sense of achievement!......Now that I have sold something I am starting to feel a little more creative and inspired, Now all I have to do is to get some time to paint again.

Thank you all for your comments....You know the irony in all of this is that I offered the Swallow's and the Macaw paintings without hesitation for the "Wet Canvas Tsunami Auction".....But the WC management did not fully inform everybody that it was a "Sale" and not an auction until weeks after the donations had started. I felt that I had a great chance of getting a reasonable amount of money for the Tsunami victims with the auction.
