I did this one for a friend's birthday. Its one of the latest ones I've done, and my first try at a boat. Hope you like, and please post comments, good and/or bad

Thanks!
Orian, This is nice drawing of the boat. But check the shadows on the sails. Is the wind blowing from the left or the right? It's hard to tell by looking at the shadows and the curve of the sails. Do you have a ref pic? I'm not that familiar with sail boats by any means, it is just a little confusing to me. If I saw the ref pic, I could tell if I was just confused, or if they are not consistent. :)

Well, I can't tell from this picture either. LOL :p Sorry. Your drawing is pretty close to the shadows on the ref pic, but I still can't tell what direction the wind is blowing on this pic either. ?? Maybe someone else will have a suggestion.

They're blowing the direction they're blowing *LOL* I don't know either, I just drew it because she(my friend) wanted a drawing of a sail ship for her b-day instead of a horse.
That's nice of you. I'm sure your friend will love it.

i already did, last month I think it was, and she did love it. I just scanned it first*LOL*.
Hi Orian
Some project to draw ;) - glad your friend loved it. :)
I think the ship itself looks fine, and that is properly your deepest interest when drawing this ;)
Next time for such a project; check out the horizon-line, it has to be a straight line (tilts on your drawing)
also in my opinion the ship would have stood out better if you either had not applied the background (sky?) or if you had been working more on it. As it is now, it doesn't look that good for your drawing :o
Well, hope you can use this - at least the horizon-line being straight is very important)
Hope to se more drawings from you :bye1:

I was in a time crunch, as it was, it was late for her b-day :p . But ya, you are right about the horizon, I should have focused more on that than I did. I did the background because without it the sails blended right in with the paper, and I didn't want that. Though, after I scanned it I did do some more work on it, just wasn't able to scan it again. Thanks for the advice, I'll do what you suggested next time I draw something like this.
