Hello.. I hope I am not posting too much- I guess the moderators will inform me-but here is one I finished tonight-it is pastel on Wallis paper 24x28 inches.. comments please-- thank you Tom
Wow, Tom... lovely painting! Can you teach me how to do that?? You paint some breathtaking scenes. Do you paint from life or from photographs? I just love the style. :-)

Hi Rose- thank you--I have just recently began painting plein air but do most of my finished pieces inthe studio.. I work primarily from digital photos I take near my home. Tom

This is gorgeous Tom. I didn't know that Iowa had such pretty scenes. My husband is from Ottumwa. I never saw anything this gorgeous.

Tom, I love this scene! I have pastel pencils and some day hope to learn how to use them so I might make something worthy of framing for display in my home. Please continue to display your works here!

*GASP* Don't you dare stop posting!! I absolutely love everything I've seen from you, and this is no exception. You were very bold with your colors on this one, and yet it's still so inviting and harmonious. Beautiful.
I just end up wanting to cry when I use pastels. If I don't have a sharp point at the end of what I'm holding, I'm lost, LOL. It's such a beautiful medium, though, and I'm in awe of anyone who shows such mastery of it...wonderful!
