hi Robin!

While I'm not an animal expert and I'm sure you'll get lots of great and helpful feedback from othres, you might want to check the nostrils, the length of the muzzle and the height of the ears, on my monitor these look kinda off...it could just be my monitor, though.

Looking forward to see this progress:)

I think that drawing animals is very difficult. Drawing anything at all can be hard. I think you have a really good start. I am seeing a problem with the eye, I think you have too much of it showing, in addition to what Denise has already mentioned. But like she said, you'll get some great advice from all the wonderful animal people from this site!

Hi Robin! Great start on the Morgan! You asked for some tips though, so I'll see if maybe I can help a little bit.

The horse's mane should be darker and smooth. The forelock is more wirey and lighter, more reddish. You can see the individual strands in the forelock whereas in the mane you can't. You definitely need to differentiate between the mane and the forelock so people can tell them apart. The additional shading on the mane and the reddish individual strands in the forelock will help with that. Right now, they look like all the same thing because they run together.

Keep up the good work!!!! You're doing wonderful on this! :D What kind of pastel pencils are you using??
