Forgotten road

Hello I spotted this scene toda yas I wa out taking photos--it is a old road no longer in use after nature reclaimed most of it--pastel on Wallis paper--comments welcome thank you Tom

Tom, I love the composition. I am still learning how to critique, so forgive me if I'm wrong on this... I am guessing the light source is coming from the right but I see shadows on the bushes that are going both ways. Should there be more light reflected on the trees on the far right in the back? And my focal point seems to go to the middle, which is the light sky... remember, I'm new to this!! :-)

Otherwise... the color choices are wonderful! You choose the brightest brights and darkest darks and this gives the pastel so much feeling and tension. I am partial to yellows and pinks.. :-) Oh, and those lush greens... yummy!

This reminds me of some of the old paintings where they are showing men at work in the hay fields. This has a beautiful feel to it. Love the colors here. You're awesome, Tom and I love looking at your work.
