Well, this is Scarlett Johansen and Arlene PLEASE don't delete this, because its not from a copyrighted picture. At least I don't think it is...:D
Anyways, I tried to use Leonardo Da Vinci's technique on this one...as you can tell, I cheated a little bit on her forehead...going different directions and all. Anyways, no blending on this one.

Thankyou! As soon as I can get this semester's tuition out of the way, I'm thinking of investing the 80 bucks and starting colored pencil.

That looks very good. I'm not familiar with Da Vinci's technique. How is it done?

Wow! This is a gorgeous drawing Lumosart. I love the delicacy of the lines. So beautiful! I wonder if you extended the dark pencil background further to the left if it would be less distracting and really make her face the big focal point... Of course it would look better if you drew it than my crummy photoshop job, but this is just to give an idea of what I'm trying to say.... Can't wait to see what you will do with color!

You make all of the strokes go the same direction, and you never press very hard with your pencils. Its built up layer after layer.

Beautiful job! I especially like this because it looks like a piece of art, and not a photograph; while I greatly admire the technical ability it takes to do absolute photorealism, I much prefer looser, more creative and interpretive work. Well done!!!

I do as well Daphne. I would, however, like to know that I could DO photorealism :D
