Here is another Drawing I did for my High school yearbook two years ago. It's a closeup of the helmet of the knight on the horse. Again it was based off the armor in the midieval culture book.

Hey Matt, I thought you might like to have a post from your brother...or not. But now someone has posted in your thread! I think it looks good, and the shading is great, even though I've seen it a whole lot in real life. *lol* What are brothers for? :D (he is standing right behind me watching me type this)
Matt,
This is really great! I can tell it's metal.. how do you do that?? Your yearbook committee must have been very pleased to have you that year! :-) The shading is perfect, you did a wonderful job. Was this done with many different hardnesses of pencil? On regular drawing paper or something else?
BTW, you and Orian can go into business together with your art! :D

No we can't, we'd wind up killing each other or something.*lol* but we've been getting along since he's been in college.

This really looks like metal! It's shiney and almost looks like it's been hammered in place. It's shaded well and it has great values. Very nice job!

Orian, (sarcastically) Thank you for posting. It was really appreciated. :bangin:
He's right. We would wind up killing each other, or just getting really mad at each other...
Anyway, Rose, I did it on a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of regular printer cardstock with a .5 mechanical pencil. 2H I think. Oh, and a blending stub; lots and lots of blending stub.
Thanks for the compliments.

Kinda cool, I guess. But we have two totally different styles of art. And we've gotten into several arguments over who's better. (Orian says I start it. He's somewhat right.)

What really happens is that he says he's better, I say our styles are so different that you can't argue which is better, then he says that I say that because I "know that his is better". To which I reply the same thing about different styles. So he gets in arguements on who's is better, I don't.
