Hello I have been experimenting with different surfaces for pastel--This one I did tonight on prepared hard board. -the brush strokes are the result of the pastel ground application--I decided to leave them in--any comments are very helpful--thank you Tom

I really like the effects of the brush strokes!! I think they add to the impressionistic feel.
Your colors are always so warm and vibrant!!

I agree, the texture of the surface really adds a lot to this. I think this is one of my favorites of yours! It's gorgeous!
Tom, you continue to impress me! This is fanastic. I love the brush strokes! Even with the new look, it's still a TOM masterpiece! :)

Your a master with these pastels and your landscapes. All of your entires are just gorgeous. I do hope you have these in a gallery. Your work is so professional. Art is suppose to be entertaining. Yours follows this rule, perfectly.
