Thank you so much for starting a basic technique and how to forum for the beginners like myself.

I am going to pose a question to anyone: How would you suggest doing mass shrubbery (rose bushes) so that it would have detail in the front and mass suggestion further back. ? Greatly appreciated any folks with ideas.

That sounds like a great question. Why don't you start a thread in the Basic Drawing forum. Don't forget to mention what medium you're working in because different techniques can be used for each medium. :D
