I've been working with portrature this summer, something I hadn't done in a long time.
My grandson, Ethan, is almost 4 yrs. old now, but I did this from a photo I took of him on a hot summer day when he was about 8 mos.
9 x 12, assorted softies on Wallis sanded paper.

Hmmm, guess I didn't photograph this too well. It's done, Debbie!! Well, the lower part is real loose and faded in. I read too much Harley Brown! :D Need more practice to make the edges work. anyway, Micki loves it!

This is lovely Katherine. I really like the loose effect, and especially that flash of red
I knew the style reminded me of someone!! I'm so glad you mentioned Harley Brown, I would never have remembered him myself :D I love his paintings too!
