Hello this is the lastest in a series of Autumn Paintings --does this one appear rushed? I didn't spend alot of time on it. 30x24 inches various pastels on prepared board..thank you Tom
Hi ya Tom
Yes Tom it does look a little rushed especially the blacks in the central trees as they are very strong strokes, another thing that grabbed my attention was the way that the strokes or the inclination of the strokes head off to the top R/Hand side as well as the blue sky and the two thin black trees in the painting. This leads me to the top R/Hand quarter of the painting rather than the focal point, I just love the beautiful colors.

Tom the colors are always so yummy in your work. But, I feel as if the whole thing is being sucked down by the lower right corner. It seem to "drain" there. I think I would flatten that just a bit so that the end is above the lower right corner. I'm on my daughters computor so I can't do a edit to post. Love your work

tom i like it - love the colors. the feel of movement from the the slanted strokes and lean of the trees is great. i do agree with Debee and maybe a little added work on the botom right (left as we look) would help. can you slant some of the grass to carry that movement to forground?
