Howdy ya'll :)

First, I'd like to say thanks to TJ for inviting me over here. And second, thanks to TJ for prodding me til I actually signed up :angel: ... lol

I love the new place, it's cozy here and the colors are wonderful.

A bit of background about me:

I'm also a transplant from that place that shall not be named. I was the reference image librarian there for 2 1/2 years til new management stepped in and well...obviously I'm no longer the librarian there. 'Nuff said :) .

I've dabbled in art in some form or another for the past 10 years or so. My personal favorites are watercolors (yes, including watercolor pencils), colored pencils, and photography.

My favorite subject matter is sunflowers. I grow them myself, photograph them and draw and paint them. Contrary to popular belief, I actually hate the color yellow and no, my house isn't decorated in sunflowers, 'cept my artwork on the walls...lol. There are so many different varieties of sunflowers and each one has their own personalities that I love to capture.

I'm happily married, and we have 2 dogs. We live out in the boondocks, in a small town in the middle of nowhere, where you still don't have to lock your doors at night if you don't want to :) .

Other hobbies include playing computer and console games, going to Renaissance faires, spending time with family and doing the usual hiking, camping, shooting/hunting, fishing sort of outdoorsy-stuff.

It's good to see so many familiar faces here, and I look forward to the day when I actually have something to share again.

Ya know you don't have to actually be "working" right now, we love to have you anyway. Your a great assett to any community, in any form. And hey... when that library gets off the ground... whoo hoo0.

It *is* cozy and warm here! Feels like home for sure, c'mon in, sit down and make yerself comfy. Maybe we can get Leanne to brew up some of those coffee beans her hubby likes to roast, and hmmm I might even bake some cookies! ;)

Ivy-where in Indiana? I'm from the Calumet region--Highland to be exact. By Hammond, East Chicago, about 30 miles outside Chicago.

We're actually south of Fort Wayne about an hour or thereabouts. We pass up your way occasionally to go to the Renaissance faire in the summer just over the border in Bristol, Wisconsin :) .
