:censored2 This being my second post *ever* I'm not sure how to go about this, but here is one of my studies of the male figure, and my wip's of it. I am curious how many people out there do a full shade of grey over the entire figure, before adding details and such.

wonderful shading and knowledge of muscle structure. ya done good on that and your way of working is fine. I do have an issue with the proportions. Have a look at this thread I started on body proportions. Body Proportions (http://scribbletalk.com/showthread.php?t=11)

I do a lot of very light layers w/ a very sharp pencil building my values

Great definition so far!

Will do! I am curious though, what you see though. Is is the space between the shoulder and his right pectoral, or is it something else? I would love to know!

without studying the first thing that caught my eye is the upper arm to elbow is too short...the elbow when hanging straight down at oour sides is in the same place as our waist. also from chin to mid chest should be one head length.

Ok thanks! I'm going to go back to the reference photo and take a look.
