Hi
I'd love to get some comments on the 2 charcoal drawings I've pasted below. I don't have any formal art training so any feedback will be VERY gratefully received. The first one is Charcoal Oil Lamp and the second is Charcoal Wine Bottle. Thanks, Jugger.

hello everyone, this is the first bit of drawing I ever did. I framed it, warts and all, just to remind me of the fun I had doing it. I welcome any criticisms or suggestions you have to make. Thanks for taking the time to look. All the best, Jugger.

Hi Jugger...

You have a very strong style.....I like it.
Lots of good things about these.
Strong shapes, nice lines and a good sense of different textures.

Try drawing simple objects like bottles or books with a directional light on them...an angled lamp is the best....it will give you a good idea of where the light falls on an object and how to make it seem solid.
