Hello, I'm sorry but I'm having awful trouble loading up the images. I'm new to everything - computers, drawing etc etc. I'd be grateful for your feedback. Thanks, Jugger

This is looking good Jugger!
You didn't say if you are working from life... but I guessed that you are. Very brave!
The only things I can suggest to watch out for are tonal values. It's sometimes a good idea to sqint you eyes a little bit as you're looking at your reference. This helps you identify your darkest darks, and your lightest lights without being confused by the actual pieces of the still life. eg. you will probably have some dark shadows around the base of the teapot etc.
Also (I don't know for sure as I can't see your ref.), but there will probably be some distortion as you see the pepper(?) through the glass of the bottle. It won't line up as neatly as you have show it.

Good luck with the rest.

You definitely have a good start. It looks like you've gotten the shape of the tea kettle down, even though we can't see any reference. Dorrell is right about the bottle. Have you checked out the drawing forum? There are some interesting topics in there. Just keeping plugging along, practicing and practicing until you can no longer see!!! You're doing fine.

Thank you both for the encouraging feedback. It will spur me on to get down and get dirty with the charcoal. All the best, Jugger x

Keep on drawing, you will learn something new with each work you do.
Are you working from a real still life set up or photo?
