It's my first posting here in Scribble.
This is a lily manipulated with Gimp. I was playing with contrast, and lighting until I felt satisfied. This is what I came up with. It's a soft pastel on mi teintes.

What beautiful colours Coloreum. :clap:
I especially like the combination of smooth colour on the flower along with those suggested loose 'lines'. I think I would prefer to see smoother colour on the background though.... but I'm not sure.... :rolleyes: :)

Gimp is a photo manipulation program as good as PhotoShop; but absolutely free.

Thanks for your comment. I was trying to bring out the complimentary for the yellow, to make it pop out of the page..didn't use as much for the red; but was pretty happy with it.

Dorell I took your suggestion and went a little darker. I posted in WC, and had several comments relating to the background. I darkened it with more purples and greens.. Here it is. It does bring it more to life ;)
